Aims

Regarding the distribution of data the aim of the SACTR is:
  • To register all childhood maligancies in the Republic of South Africa.
  • To report and provide accurate information and statistics regarding the incidence of childhood cancer in South Africa.
  • To educate the government, medical fraternity and public responsibly and ethically regarding the demographics, statistics and impact of childhood cancer.
  • To facilitate and regulate the distribution of factual and accurate information regarding paediatric malignancies.
  • To study the epidemiology of childhood cancer according to ethical international regulations and conventions.
